New Family Special for 2012 Announced: Iron horse and Exmoor Pony Days Out

A super new day out for those who like a steam train ride through the beauties of the Quantock Hills, a coach drive across scenic Exmoor complete
with a lunch stop, and an introduction to one of Britain’s rarer indigenous species, the Exmoor Pony.
On April 2nd, May 28th and September 10th you can catch the 10.25 West Somerset Railway steam train as far as Dunster station where you will be met by Martyn Babb of Blue Motors for your onward coach journey to the Exmoor Pony Centre. On the way you will have time to enjoy a lunchtime break for refreshments at Winsford (the cost of these is not included in the price).
You will arrive at the Exmoor Pony Centre at around 2.00 p.m. for an hour long introduction to the origins, history and future of the ponies of Exmoor, one of Britain’s rare breeds of wild horse. You will also have a chance to meet one of the ponies and see some more of the Centre before your coach leaves again at 3.00 p.m. to take you back to Minehead for your steam train journey home. You will be back at Bishops Lydeard by 5.30 p.m.

Each of these days out is limited to 22 participants and advanced booking is needed. Please call 01643 704996, online bookings will be available shortly.
Cost (which includes the steam train journeys, the coach links and entrance to the Pony Centre but not food or drink) is £27.50 adult and £20.00 child.
